What We Collect
ToolNest's 99 tools are designed to run entirely inside your web browser. No account or sign-up is required to use any tool. Files, text, or images you upload to a tool (such as an image compressor or PDF merger) are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Cookies & Advertising
ToolNest may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. We may also use basic, privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand overall site traffic.
Third-Party Services
Some tools rely on third-party libraries loaded from public content delivery networks (CDNs) to function, such as PDF or QR code libraries. These libraries run in your browser and do not receive your files or personal data through ToolNest.
Children's Privacy
ToolNest is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

Local Storage on Your Device
A number of tools offer to remember your work between visits, such as a saved wedding budget, a draft invoice, or a theme preference. Where this happens it uses your browser's own local storage, which is a small area of space on your own device. That information is never transmitted to us and we have no way to read it, list it or delete it. It stays until you remove it, either through a clear data button inside the tool itself or by clearing your browser's site data through your browser settings. If you use a tool on a shared or public device, clearing it before you walk away is worth the few seconds it takes.
What We Do Not Collect
To be explicit, because vague privacy policies are how important details get hidden: ToolNest has no user accounts, so we hold no names, email addresses or passwords except where you choose to email us directly. We do not ask for or store phone numbers. We do not build a profile of which tools you use. We do not sell, rent or share personal information with data brokers, because we do not have any to sell. Files, images, text, financial figures, health inputs, guest lists, client details and everything else you type into a tool are processed in your browser and are gone the moment you close the tab, unless you explicitly saved them to your own device.
Server Logs and Necessary Requests
Loading any website involves your browser requesting files from a server, and those requests are recorded by our hosting provider in standard access logs containing an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and a browser identification string. This is ordinary web infrastructure rather than anything specific to ToolNest, and the logs are used for security and reliability, not for profiling. A small number of tools by their nature must make a real network request, such as the DNS lookup, the internet speed test and the IP address finder, because the answer cannot be produced locally. In those cases the request carries only what is technically required and no result is stored against you.
Your Choices and Rights
Because we hold almost nothing about you, most data requests resolve simply: you can clear everything ToolNest has touched by clearing your browser's site data, and there is no account to close. If you are in a region covered by GDPR, CCPA or a similar law, you may still ask what information relates to you, request a copy, or ask for deletion, and we will respond to any such request sent to the contact address below. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings, and you can block cookies entirely in your browser without breaking any tool on this site, since none of them depend on cookies to function.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or how it is used, the last updated date at the top of this page will change and the revised policy will be published here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. We would encourage checking this page if you use ToolNest regularly, particularly after any announcement about new features, since a feature that required a genuine server component would be reflected here first.
